    Electronics 101

I think that's why most people are on here...to help and also learn from others. I get a kick out of helping others and also learning new things, that's why this is the best forum on the net and why unfortunately for some I keep coming back. :) So come on give us some questions you must have...

    Electronics 101

Hello Foxtrot. It is quite daunting initially stepping that foot into the art of electronics. There are lots of books available, some better than others.....but as I found out years a go, no one was there to help me understand something when I didn't. That was my biggest hurdle. A question about cross talk! :)

That may have been the case 50 years a go before people started stealing specific terminology and using it for something else :). Unfortunately crosstalk is one of many. A question about cross talk! :)

I think OBW explained that well. Cross talk can take two forms one will be dominant than the other, capacitive or inductive, but they are always both there. Which one dominates depends on the geometry of the circuit / wiring and circuit operation. It's quite a complex subject and very difficult...

And also leave solder on the iron when you put it in the holder, never put a dry iron in the holder. Wipe it off for the next use. Adam

    Basic Soldering advice

Lead free solder sucks. Look for a non lead free solder that has flux in it, but not a vegetable flux. You can get a no clean flux version but I have never used that. I can't remember the name of the reel I have at work but will find out its name. Adam

    Getting antenna to radiate

Yes I have seen that, nice one. I just thought he might like to know how the values are calculated. So yeah we can use your circuit, it would be beneficial to this thread I think if you run through how they came up with those values? Cheers Adam

I'll see if I can work through an example for you and simulate it. Showing you how to match the amplifier to the load. It won't be until tomorrow if that's ok. Thanks Adam
