    Thanks guys, I'll do some reading and get back to you if I reach any problems. Got my dual rail supply built now so am good to go. Building synthesiser modules has been a huge help in understanding my oscilloscope much better. For the first time i'm really appreciating it.

    sorry, always think i'm not being too vague on here... a low frequency signal generator is what i want, and to be able to vary the tone. Will I also need a specific amplifier section for this? I was thinking an op amp as I'g guessing it will have to be a sinewave signal.

    I found learning motor circuit useful, taught me alot about how current works. Getting one to change speed was a turning point in understanding. Printers have a 1 to four motors, a bunch of gears, nuts and bolts, plus plenty of wire. Useful salvage.

    So had a good look round internet but couldn't find anywhere that showed me how mechanical meters work. Is it possible to make your own? I'm guessing there is all different types to take different readings?

    Thanks Edd. I'll try and understand the source better. I do intend on supplying multiple in the end. Do I just make sure after adding up the current draw off each unit it doesn't exceed the supply current?

    it says the power supply should be 1000ma max, I'm confused why it would have a maximum? is it saying not to pull more than 1000ma through the circuit? or a higher ma rated power supply is bad for it?

    Thank you. I will get on this. I am going to try and buil alot of the MFOS range. So I may just invest in a dual rail bench supply. I'm annoyed i missed this, i recently built two of the noise makers off there and they both required dual rail with a ground. Cheers for your time here.
