    Switching regulators are inherently noisy, both through connecting wires and through radiation. The way the regulator inputs and outputs are wired is critical to their noise performance. Photo? ak

    For reasons I've never quite understood, the human body presents a ground to AC. As above, the current is very small. It is larger when you touch a real ground because the human body is a better resistor to ground than it is an actual ground. ak

    1. What is the voltage across the MOSFET drain-source pins when it is turned on by applying 12 V DC to the gate-source pins? 2. Check your pinout. If the FET is in the circuit backwards, the battery is discharging through the body diode. This will reduce the discharge current. ak

    It the switch is switching 220 Vac and the impulse relay coil is rated for 220 Vac*and* continuous operation, then you don't need to convert the output from the switch to a momentary signal. What are the manufacturer and part number for the relay? ak
