Keep the voltage on the 555 between 12 and 15 Volts, to have a high enough voltage to drive the mosfet.
Also choose a diode accros the motor that has a current capability the same or higher as the motor current.

How much current do you expect to get from the circuit?
Resistors R1 and R2 have a quite high resistance.
Try to lower them to say 100 Ohms (or even lower) and see how the circuit reacts.

When you want to use a radio as preset for the spectrum analyser, you will waste the capabilities of the 1000 times more expensive spectrum analyser.
When you want to examine the surrounding signals, use an antenna and eventualy an amplifier, as mentioned in post #8.

Perhaps a simple amplifier with a short wire antenna will do the trick.

It looks indeed like a capacitor.
Only the value is not a standard value with 4.5 μF.
4.7 μF is the closest standard value.
An other thing that is strange is its size.
It looks rather small for 4.5 μF.
