    Might even be a 3W. But replacing it is likely to just result in blowing the new resistor. You'll need to figure out why the first one fried before putting in a new one.

    I think the '.5' is obliterated by the R5 markings. In any case, R9 is the only reasonable place for it. The link I posted was for the Drok units, but the OP's is apparently an eHUB. Looks the same....

    Calibration will require comparing the units readout with that of a know calibrated meter. That reference meter normally should be 10x more accurate than the unit you are trying to calibrate. You may not need it to be calibrated that closely.

    Can't find a service manual/schematic online. If the failure is random, it might be a broken solder joint - a good physical exam would be a starting place. Might be lots of other things too. Hard without a schematic.

    Three possibilities exist. 1. You are measuring the current incorrectly. 2. You are measuring the voltage drop incorrectly. 3. You have a 0.05 ohm resistor, not a 0.5 ohm resistor. Ohm's Law will not be violated!

    To quote Alec_t..... which is precisely what an NTC thermistor, such as one of these, would do. High resistance when cold, and the peak current draw for the motor would be reduced. As it gets hot, it's resistance decreases allowing the motor to deliver rated torque.

    Don't know what an "ADC" is, but for a power supply you will need nominally 14 volts at 50 - 60 amps.

    Ohmmeters on the diode range usually would not have enough voltage to turn forward bias an LED - particularly as series string of LEDs. If the LED assemblies are truly rated at 12 volts, then they would likely already have a series resistor installed and no addition resistor would be needed...

    No resonant circuits in that welder. All the noise is spread out over a wide spectrum (with local clusters as you stated). Add a resonant 'tank' and the noise generated will concentrate near a single frequency and thus be 'amplified' at that frequency.

    Get out the magnifying glass and take a *real* close look at the solder joints. Find anything suspicious? Can you read a part number on the chip? If you feel comfortable doing it.... Using solder wick, remove the solder from about half the pins. Now carefully resolder using fresh solder...

    Surprised there is nothing at the left side regulator, but no change at the 5 volt regulator would indicate it is not a problem with the battery voltage dropping of other loss of power source.

    Irrelevant but interesting.... The standby power supply on this SX-315 is *identical* to the standby power supply of a Denon AVR-1707 I recently had on the bench.
