    Circuit design

I don't see anything that needs to be changed. At least not without knowing more about the transfer characteristics of the IR/photo transistor arraignment.

    Something zapped it

I see 6 fuses in the power supply section, but nothing in the audio channels. the outputs do have protection circuitry that may be causing problems, but that would take some pretty deep troubleshooting. Do you get both channels if you use headphones?

How an electromagnet can calculate kilogram

The BBC article implies that the force exerted by the 1 kg mass is balanced against the force generated by the electromagnet. But the force exerted by the 1 kg mass is dependent on the gravitational field which it is in.

Aiwa? Model number? Can't find any reference to AV-DV76u.

    Unknown capacitor.

I take it there are no numbers on the part that you can read.

    Sansui 5000a Won’t Power On

After it quits, if you turn if off and just leave it for a while and then try again does it work? Wondering about a thermal issue. Could also just try a new fuse. Might want to access the voltage selector. Unplug it, check for any corrosion, and plug it back in.

    Sansui 5000a Won’t Power On

I found the schematic here: https://elektrotanya.com/sansui_5000a_sch.pdf/download.html . There appears to be two aux outlets on the unit - one unswitched and the other switched. With the unit plugged in, check to see if the unswitched outlet has power. Then plug something in to the switched...

    Unknown capacitor.

Sounds to me like you have excess current draw. I'd start by using an ohmmeter and checking the diode bridge. Should be OK doing it in circuit (power off of course). If the diode bridge looks good, then check the 100 uF 50v cap for leakage or short.

    Realistic STA-2100D

Service manual available at https://elektrotanya.com/realistic_sta-2100_sm.pdf/download.html. Relay "A" = relay associated with TR1301, the soft start board? Relay "B" = relay associated with TR601 connecting the audio outputs to the speaker terminals? Are you sure relay "B" is not pulling in...

    GE radio 7-4135

I searched for quite a bit and was unable to find a schematic or even any other interior pictures. Perhaps someone will have more luck than I did. I'm in SE Wisconsin, about 800 feet ASL.

    GE radio 7-4135

We are probably going to need some pictures. The only info I can find is https://www.electronicspoint.com/threads/ge-classic-radio-player-7-4135-schematic-and-amp-question.287527/. It looks like the power supply may be a stand alone block, and if that is the case it may be possible to...

    Maytag Dryer Board Repair

It *looks* like there are only two active connections to the switch, so it is most likely a SPST momentary contact. A replacement part should not be too hard to find. You might want to see if you can find a local Amateur Radio (Ham) club. Then inquire if there is anyone in the club who would...

    Pioneer SX 850 Receiver

That's the correct way to do it. What range or setting for your voltmeter will depend on exactly what voltmeter you have. If it allows you to manually set the range, you would want to use the 20 volts DC (VDC) range. It might just have a range marked DC volts and will autorange. If that is...

    Pioneer SX 850 Receiver

You indicated earlier that the problem was with the -right- speaker. Please trace the wires from the "L" output and see if they go to the left or right speaker. You really should not have 18.34 V across the speaker. This indicates a problem with the power amplifier. If *could* be a bad...

    Pioneer SX 850 Receiver

[shrtrnd - I'm trying to determine if the amp is outputing a DC voltage that goes away at power off, or if it is outputting an impulse of voltage at power off]. RDG, make sure speaker 'A' is selectred. Then use the voltmeter to measure the voltage across the speaker output where it says...

    Pioneer SX 850 Receiver

Labelled L & R. These should be simple jumpers that can be unplugged. In addition, do you have a voltmeter available? If so, measure the *DC* voltage across the speaker out terminals with the unit on and the volume control set at minimum. Left and Right.
