    PIC A/D question

Hi Rajinder, I cant see the circuit. Adam

    555 PWM or is it?

Just out of interest why do you think is not a PWM circuit? Thanks Adam

    Gate driver datasheet for IGBT

You need to also change your capacitors to 3600u I assume and not 3600m other wise you will be waiting a week for them to charge up :) Adam

    Switch Using Atmega16A

If you want anymore help you need to show us all your code. How do you think we can work out anything fom what you have supplied. Geez, this is hard work pavan. Adam

    Phase shift

The last opamp is just a gain stage I used to make it easier to see the in an out signals together. It has non inverting gain of 1+(R3/R4). Adam

    Phase shift

Your calculations are correct. The formula is for a high pass type, I used a low pass. So you have to subtract 28deg from 90deg to get the answer of approx. 60deg. Or the formula is atan(2*pi*f*R*C). Sorry I should have mentioned that. Thanks Adam

    Phase shift

The last opamp was just used to make the waveforms comparable in size so you could see them together. It is not used to calculate the phase shift. You really need to show me your calculations so I can see what you are doing. Saying please tell me what I am doing wrong isn't very helpful when I...

    Voltage regulator 7905 capacitors.

I have seen myself a standard 7805 produce a nice saw tooth waveform with a Tant on the output. The purpose of the capacitor to allow the error amplifer to react to transients. But you cause a transient yourself by having too large a capacitor on the output. LDO regulators however are different...

MOSFETs shooting through in H-bridge: damage at gate-source driving circuits

The circuit you show as FlybackBridge is a forward convertor... not flyback. I don't fully understand your question. Do you have a full circuit you can show? Thanks Adam

    PIC A/D question

Do you have a circuit diagram you can post here. Everything sounds ok and the data sheet will tell you the max input resistance recommended. This does depend on the time required to make the reading. It the resistance is too high and you are sampling too quickly you may get inaccurate readings...

    Voltage regulator 7905 capacitors.

Most modern regulators can run just fine without capacitors on the output. If you do put one on the output try not to use too high a value and not low ESR types like Tants and ceramics. These can cause the regulator to oscillate, if you have to use low ESR caps then a small value series resistor...

    very basic question

Hello The resistor in your drawing is what we call a pull down. It ensures the port pin is in a determinate state, in this case it is asserting a logic zero or LOW to the port pin. This makes sure the port does not float and cause a false trigger i.e. It thinks the switch is pressed when it is...

    Phase shift

You said you wanted to know how to work out the capacitor value. I gave you an example. You do realise you can't get 120 degrees from one RC network, you have to add more than one. So you make two 60 degree stages and put them together. Adam

    Phase shift

Here is my offering for calculating the capacitor value for approx. 60 degrees phase shift. Hopefully you can see how this works. This is an example only, you need to input your own values if different. Thanks Adam

With what? I thought you had it all sorted sorry. Please explain in detail what you are still having issues with. Adam

    Help with Project

I like your thinking but I think the capacitor would need to be very large to run a motor pushing a small vehicle over that sort of distance. Can you give us an indication of the size and weight of the vehicle? Are you allowed to use a battery? Are you allowed to use and processing like a small...

NO I don't think its quite right. What is Ur5 please. Adam Edit: Brain fart moment... sorry.

    Capacitors

A capacitor stores energy, you dont have to wait until its full, It will give you energy related to 1/2CV^2 Adam
