    The device will most likely have an over current limit circuit, maybe you are asking it to deliver too much current into the speakers? Adam

    If the battery voltage stays the same then it's not a current issue, it must be something else otherwise the battery voltage would drop. Adam

    Hello The first thing I would is measure the battery voltage when it's not doing it and when it is. This will tell you if the battery is dropping below the working voltage of the device. Also have a look at the maximum input voltage of the device, you may be over driving the input. Thanks Adam

    Your problem is going to be that with the relay powered off, the positive power from the aux power is going to switch off the relay and remove the aux power. Then off, then on.... Putting a diode in series is an option but it's going to dissipate power and also add a voltage drop to the light...

    Hello and welcome to EP. When you say dimmed headlights do you mean dipped beam. Or are you talking about side lights? If it's dipped beam what's the point of turning the lights on if they are already on? Lets just clear that up first. Thanks Adam

    Ah yes ok. If I remember the original design had the resistor connected to the coil and the coil connected to 0V. This may be where I got confused. Like this I think. .
