    Help with motor circuit design...

I am unsure if in the UK you guys have the same setup as here in Australia, but we can order a manual for cars to be lent through our library. you may get lucky enough to find information on this pack and how it works and what resistance values to look for. if you don't want to spend the 25quid...

    LED Lighting Project

there are 12v edison screw lights, but incandesent bulbs chew more power than led's typically as for which type, depends on a myriad of things, like how bright? how many? do you want them coloured or plain white? if its for camping you can grab a cigarette lighter plug to hook up to the...

Combining a radar detector and smartphone with 1 set of headphones.

well my theory is that if socket A was primary and played continuously. if socket b recieved a signal it would then be broadcast. i got the idea in my mind but no idea how to construct it. but the prinicple would be the same as the first one in this thread. I have even heard people saying they...

Combining a radar detector and smartphone with 1 set of headphones.

I have been thinking about a similiar idea, using an mp3 or similiar device as primary but when the cb radio cuts in i want the mp3 to cut out and then hear the cb broadcast clearly, all automated of course. nothing yet more than an idea

    Wiring a USB Fan

just a quick note on this, you COULD do all of that hard work and then try to configure the air flow to be just right, or you could simply type "ps3 fan" into google and buy a product prebuilt for around $15. just a thought

    Air Plane Crashes (Pilot Error)

the problem is in this day and age, computers crash, solenoids freeze, the list goes on. air travel will never be 100% safe but i know from experience that maintaining a computer system essential to the safety of a site means doing the bare minimum. train the pilots, teach them the same way...

    Air Plane Crashes (Pilot Error)

as always making something run by a computer runs into a problem. there are times when yes pilots cause an error, but there are times when the istruments are wrong too. take for example a phone screwing up the planes instruments, I would hate for the pilot to have to locate an override switch...

    Unknown LED symbol

i have seen something simliar but not that exact picture. the "N" with an arrow wasn't connected to the "O" of the diode though... in fact there was no "O" around it. this was in a kit for kids many years ago. and in that kit the symbol was a simple diode. hope that helps...

    Simple circuit advice

why not use a spdt switch centre off. if the alarm system is faulty and the relay is locked on then you can just switch it to off until the alarm is fixed.
