    That's looks fine. The 1 degree c wont hamper anything. Don't solder it, the heat will blow it again. It should be crimped. You could try long nose pliers at each end to dissipate heat if you NEED to solder it. Martin

    If you lower the working current of the lock, it wont operate properly. Probably better to get higher amperage switches or lower amperage lock. Edit: You could try and see what the lowest current the lock will work on. Martin

    After having a quick look at the specs, The reed switches have a max switching current of 0.5A. The lock draws 1.5A. That could be your problem. Besides that, the lock is also 6V and you are supplying 9V. Martin

    Did it work before with 24V? and now after 27.4V, it failed? The item description says 12V - 40V input, so it 'shouldn't' be a problem. But I bought some 12V - 24V motors which exploded at 18V. Martin

    Wouldn't the current draw cause the fuse to blow? As far as I am aware, the fuse is not blowing. Sounds like the heatsinks are way too small. Martin

    That connector will be the same pitch as the flat cable no matter where you get one, if you can find one. A breakout board makes terminations simpler by having larger connections, but it still needs the original connections. Learning to solder on flat/ribbon cable is counter productive...

    Check the input protection devices if it has any with your multimeter for a short. X2 capacitor, MOV, NTC etc. Also check the bridge rectifier. Martin
