    Bench PSU

Thanks, very kind of you, but I couldn't impose this on you. I have a PCB milling machine I can use for the prototypes, then I will get some manufactured if all works. If I have some spare PCBs I will send you one. I use DIP-TRACE for my PCBs. Thanks Adam

What do you mean you may as well do it for free? Thanks Adam

    Appropriate diode fo my circuit

Looks good Tony! I think you have done very well considering your initial lack of knowledge. Well done. Are you going to put the LEDs on a PCB and fit them to the car. Would love to see them working in the application. Adam

    Bench PSU

Not sure, do you have the link of the website? We are yet to know how well mine will work until we have built it. I think over the next few weeks I am going to do a PCB layout and when I have the money I'll get a PCB made. Adam

    Bench PSU

LOL yeah non-critical, thanks for the offer sweetie. Please any suggestions other than you can do this with an LM317 :)

    Bench PSU

Well I hope you took more than a glimpse at the circuit after I spent my evening designing / drawing it for you :) Sure you can change the OP-amps, it would be better to use rail to rail output types so you get max voltage output. Changing the output transistors is also not a problem, but...

    Transistor equivalent model

Hello Andrzej (Andrew) welcome to EP. I don't fully understand your question. Can you explain in a bit more detail about what you want. Adam

    Bench PSU

Here is my evenings attempt LOL. I have tried not to over complicate it. I haven't yet added the sense terminals, need to work that out. Now I don't know what voltages your transformer will put out so I have based this on a 15 V input. At the moment the max voltage is 13.5 Volts and the max...

LOL, thanks sweet-heart, trust you to come up with that :) Adam

    Bench PSU

I'll see what I can come up with. In the meantime for any of the other geniuses on here that wish to contribute then please do. I have been known to over complicate things at times :) Adam

I don't have any on me, but I am sure we could design something together. Adam

    Faulty tv power

Yes it's quite common to see an NTC in power supply. It is used to limit inrush current. And PTCs are used as resettable fuses, we can probably rule this out as he has a standard fuse fitted. Until we see any pictures on the underside showing connections it's hard to say. But my first initial...

    Bench PSU

Yes. Without the sense terminal, the power supply does not know what the voltage is at the load end. I mentioned it because it can be a good feature to have at times. Adam

    Bench PSU

How does the power supply know what voltage you have at the end of a pair of wires under load? Adam

    Bench PSU

If you have a longish cable supplying a few hundred mA, and you set your PSU to say 12 Volts. You may only have 11.5 actually at the load. Using a sense terminal you can remove this error. Adam
