    Are you sure the white tabs are part of the LED. It looks like a Lumiled style LED but I have never seen them with the white tabs before. Can you take a closer in focus picture? Adam

    You would be better off trying to make the drivers that power the motors more efficient. When I used race RC cars, I changed the ESC MOSFETS and then had extended run time and the motor didn't need a heat sink anymore. After a race the motor was only warm and not hot as it used to be. Adam

    Add instructions as a mechanical layer in the PCB design. Then output this as Gerber data when you do the other layers. Alternatively some of the higher end Gerber software packages allow you to do this properly with graphical elements. I guess you don't have a high end Gerber software package. Adam

    I had this same thought Chris, a universal transistor tester. Each leg would have three LEDs located near to the leg, each one labelled BCE and then which ever light lights indicates that terminal is either base, collector or emitter. Martin, I just found your next project :) Adam

    As far as the transistor is concerned it does not matter if you reverse collector or emitter. So yes how you going to tell which is which unless you know the base terminal and swap the other two terminal and see which way draws more current. Adam

    Mainly used for diff signal wires, but twisting power supply wires reduces loop inductance. Always a good idea for EMC. Adam

    Why on earth do you want a 10 Amp PSU? You will have big problems if you dont want 10 Amps and your circuit faults out and wants all that current. You need some current limit. Adam
