I’m looking for an elegant solution to power an old radio with 220v dc

Maybe an easier way is with a 220V-120V voltage converter, Europe to USA. It’s essentially a single transformer which you can then use in reverse. Add the bridge rectifier and smoothing caps for DC. Just an idea to get the thinking caps on.. Martin

Need help on Dell S2330MXC lcd monitor white display

The fuse should have continuity ie a short. If there was no short (open circuit) there wouldn’t be continuity. Just had to say it. Martin

Osaki OS Pro Pinnacle Massage Chair

I have no idea and as nobody else has answered, we can assume they don’t either. Have you tried YouTube for an assembly video?. Have you read the manual?. It may be a jack for external audio source like MP3, IPod etc. Martin

    HDMI Port

Your findings seem to be right with 7-6-6. Have you got options like adding wire or using a breakout board?. Martin

    Power Recliner controller

On paper it does. Your calculation is absolute max wattage rating. Never use components at max ratings, always leave plenty of head room. A rule of thumb is 75% or lower. I presume the relays are for the motors. You could remove the faulty relay so the short has gone, then measure the good...

    Power Recliner controller

Sorry, I made a silly statement in my last message. What voltage are the motors on the chair? Martin

    Power Recliner controller

TV-5 is probably just general purpose. The TV rating (transient voltage) is for current inrush. This should be in the data sheet. You can probably ignore the high voltage AC and DC ratings as your circuit is 24VDC. As for the SRU vs SRD, check the data sheets for coil power consumption or...

Help RGB LEDs Keep Blowing The Control Box

You should replace the controller and disconnect from mains rather than use the controller switch. Or buy a better quality controller that can be trusted. Martin

    Power Recliner controller

Agreed, but that is only after multiplying the RMS to find peak. Not measured voltage. The bridge will have a voltage drop of two diodes. Martin

Looking for an unusually large capacitor or a replacement

If you CAN find a suitable capacitor but the footprint is different, solder the new cap inside the old one. Or add leads to the new cap?. Quite a common trick for vintage restorers. Martin

    Test DSL Router

That’s a very good question. I’ve never tried it. But I would think you could check it by connecting it with a lan cable to PC without internet. Log-in to 1.69.(your router). You might be better to write down all your router settings and then after midnight, change over the router and input the...

    LTspice issue.

It was just an update. I think the update is XVII. I can’t remember what the version was before the update. I was hoping I did something silly. But perhaps a clean install is required. Martin

Calculating Resistor Value for Video Doorbell / Home Intercom Mashup

Resistance is calculated R=V/I. (Volts divided by current). A resistor in parallel will generally act as a load. If your 220Ω resistor does not get warm or hot, it will more than likely be fine. Martin

    LTspice issue.

Hi guys n gals, Yesterday, I updated LTspice which took over 40 minutes. I hadn’t updated in two years. The issue is I can’t ‘snap’ components in place anymore. Meaning the component stays attached to my cursor. Even goes off screen when I try the ‘back’ button. I’m sure it’s something silly...

JVC GR-C7U is having issues accepting NiCad batteries and charger, though the camcorder can turn on.

If you carefully open it, you can give the boards (probably 2 or 3) a visual and look for swollen or leaking electrolytic capacitors. Also any obvious hot or burnt sections of PCB or components. Check for cracked or dry/cold solder joints. Then you can check the area where the battery connects...

JVC GR-C7U is having issues accepting NiCad batteries and charger, though the camcorder can turn on.

I can give you some advice. Don’t believe everything you see in these kinds of videos. The video makers rarely understand what they are doing because they copied somebody else doing it wrong too. If the 9.6V NiCad did not get the device to function properly, then there are other issues...
