Welcome to the forums, Usman. What is it that you'd like help with - is there a part you don't understand? As the forum title says, we don't give answers, but we can give guidance :).

    Certificate issue with electronicspoint.com

It looks like I've found the issue - when the control panel renews the SSL certificate, it creates a temporary directory on the website so that the certificate authority can validate the URL. As we've got our security settings set so tightly, the directory wasn't allowed to be created, so the...

    Certificate issue with electronicspoint.com

Thanks for the heads up - it looks like the control panel hadn't renewed the SSL certificate automatically, so I awoke this morning to the same alert screen. I'm working on finding out why the automatic process didn't happen, as well as adding some manual monitoring so that it doesn't happen again!

How sweet it is to be an idiot

I've just had a read of that wall of text, and it's quite amusing indeed :D. As the topic has come up, here's the full thing for anyone interested (the formatting hasn't been lost in the quote box, it just had no paragraphs): There are some fantastic simplifications in there, if only rocket...

Link to personal blog in signature?

There's no rules in place about that, however we would be wary if someone only posted links to their own site, or answered a question on their own site, rather than replying to the forums. If it's occasional and relevant, then it's fine. It's understandable that you'd like to drive traffic to...

Question about Raspberry Pi camera board

As long as you've not got one of the original Pi Zeros (which I think came without a camera connector), then yes, the official Pi camera will work with it :). From what I remember, you need a cable adaptor, as the port is a little smaller than standard.

Link to personal blog in signature?

Hi Chris, At the moment, we don't allow link signatures for new members (there are some exceptions to this for established members, as we used to have a "VIP" membership status which allowed signatures). However, there is a "homepage" entry available on the member profile (which I can see you...

    3D Printer Thread

Do we have many members with 3D printers here? I've had a Wanhao Duplicator i3 for a while now, and I've found it a huge amount of fun... even if about many of the things I print are for further tweaking the printer! I've seen the occasional mention of 3D printing on the forums, but it would be...

    LED Driver

Welcome to the forums Mike. I've removed your e-mail address from your post, as it'll be picked up by spammers that scrape e-mail addresses from the web. Also, one of the main benefits of a forum is that other people can see the replies, so having them posted in public (rather than by e-mail)...

8 Year old Introduction to Electronics

This thread brings back some memories! I imagine a good selection of LEDs, motors, resistors, pots, diodes, buzzers etc... would be a great start. You just need a few of those components plus a few 1.5V batteries and you can't go far wrong. Croc clips are great, as they'll connect almost...

    Replacement of VIP membership tags

We've had the VIP membership awards for many years, but now that we've grown and changed forum software, there are better ways we can implement rewarding members for sharing their knowledge. Behind the scenes we're working on the replacement :). Over the coming days, I'll be removing the...

    Considering a design change

The default settings are the ones that most people will see (and what I'd recommend using), but as I had a few requests I added those options for those that want them :).

    Considering a design change

All fixed now :). Could you please try switching from "full width" to "default" and then back again please?

    Considering a design change

Sorry about that Dave, it should be the "theme width" option - I'll see why it's not working for you now :).
