I can definitely recommend LTspice. A fairly steep learning curve, but worth it.

Point taken. Spice says the delay needed is 6.33mS in the 10mS half-cycle, i.e a 36.7% duty cycle.

Can anyone help me please in spice3

Welcome to EP! Looks as though your library file is missing, or not in the directory where WinSpice expects to find it.

Let's see if I can get my sums right this time :). The TS wants1500W @ 240V from a kettle designed for 1500W @ 120V. So the dimmer/converter would have to switch 6kW @ 25% duty-cycle. Do such converters exist at an affordable price? I think we can rule out that solution.

MPC 2000 NOT BOOTING AND SCREEN FLASHING

I would start by finding out what current your MPC should be drawing from the 5V and 12V supplies, creating dummy loads (from power resistors or car bulbs etc) drawing similar current, and seeing if they cause the PSU issue. That will tell you whether the problem is with the PSU or the MPC.

Bob's quite right. Scrub my calculations .

Agreed. Average current would be around 6A, so a standard fuse should be ok.

Welcome to EP! Sounds like the PSU is being overloaded and going into protective shut-down.

If you go with the diode, it would need to be one rated for at least 15A @ at least 400PIV. It will dissipate ~9W so will get hot and need a fair-size heatsink. The enclosure would need to allow for this. Since current peaks (~13.4A) will exceed the 13A rating of a standard UK appliance plug...

    how PWM IC UC2843 works?

Changing R30/49 will change the opamp gain and hence the current feedback value that the regulator receives. This will change the regulator's output.

Perhaps it is, but it's not obvious from the pic. Can you post a schematic of the board?

    how PWM IC UC2843 works?

Hard to say, since component values aren't specified. Looks as though the Isense signal is being low-pass filtered.

Dodgy Chinese flip flop...or my circuit?

What are you using as your 12V supply? The supply to the flip-flop IC should be decoupled by capacitors, e.g. at least 100uF in parallel with a 100nF cap very close to the IC supply pins. The ground pin of the IC should go directly to the supply negative terminal via one wire. The ground pin of...

    Hybrid Electric Engine

Only if the magnet's flux is cutting the conductors of the coil. If the flux lines are predominantly aligned with the solenoid axis then there will be very little current generated.
