    If the module is stated to be 800W then the supply (assuming it is entirely 5V driven) would indeed be rated at 160A. You could drive the LEDs in a different fashion - higher voltage - to reduce the amperage but it'll always consume 800W no matter what combination of V and I you decide to use...

    The only way to discover if the device is faulty would be to connect another one! It could just be 'dud'. Can you get a test meter into the power line and measure the current being drawn?

    I suspect that the repeated build up of dust has left deposits that air-blowing aren't getting rid of thus the reset function is not working. Have you tried dismantling the relevant surfaces and cleaning with IPA?

    That's a loss of video sync signal - possible an adjustment on the rear of the unit (horizontal hold). You could apply the camera signal to the 'yellow' phono plug input on the back of many (but not all) TV sets to prove the camera is working.
