    The microstrip antennae in cell-phones will have been designed by the phone manufacturers for optimum performance. Why would you want to make the antennae performance worse by modifying them? What is the purpose of the current redistribution or patch dimensional change?

    The regulator has no obvious interaction with the USB section. USB disconnection would be detectable by the micro, but what the micro does in response is down to the programming.

    Presumably the LED bulbs have inbuilt (or associated) electronics for current control? If so this will interfere with the bulb tests the car does. BTW, have you checked with your insurer that they're happy with the modification to your car? Some insurers can be picky and may invalidate the policy.

    U1 consists of 6 Schmitt trigger inverters (only 2 are used here, the inputs of the others would need to be grounded). When IN goes high, U1a output goes low and C1 discharges, so U1b output goes high. When IN goes low, U1a output goes high but can't recharge C1 because of D1. C1 then recharges...
