    Use the 'Resistance in Ohms' filter on that site to select the resistance value of your choice. I used the 47 Ohm parameter and, like 808dave, got a hit list of 26 items.

    Google is your friend for those. The motor specs will obviously depend on the weight/inertia of your rotary platform and rotation speed. Experimentation needed, unless someone has built something similar and can make recommendations?

    Not unless the diode is faulty. The peak reverse voltage rating for a 1N4004 is 400V :D. Edit: I'm wary about downloading a zip file. Can you post a plain image of the schematic?

    If the forward voltage drop is about 0.5V to 0.7V then the diode is almost certainly ok. I don't see a problem and wouldn't replace the diode. Measuring components in circuit can be misleading, because of the possible loading effect of other components connected to them.

    Couldn't the 'waste spark' principle be extended so that all 4 coil primaries are triggered simultaneously? That would eliminate the need for a sequencing circuit.
