    I'm not sure I know what you need. Are you saying you don't see the fuses inside your receiver, or are you saying you don't know where to buy replacement fuses from? Fuses don't necessarily need to be the old-style glass fuse these days.

    It's probably a custom made part for that rig.. I'd try ebay for a cheap model, and try to salvage parts from it. Or you can try to get help from the radio manufactuer.

    Apparently, I'm over-analyzing your issue. The operating temperature I'm talking about, is the temperature on the semiconductor wafer, an extremely small area and relatively quick warming period. The slowest scope I've got is 500Mhz. It sounds like your observation, is a new one on me.

    You need the radio manufactuer's wiring diagram, if it's a new radio, it'll be in the manual. Then you need the Toyota wiring diagram for your vehicle. You should be able to get them on-line.

    www.americanmicrosemiconductor.com says they have this in stock at $12.62 The only crosses I found for the 2SD2137 are: 2SD1406, 2SD1585, 2SD1985, 2SD1913, you can check the data sheets to see if any of them would work. I couldn't find an NTE equivalent.

    I don't know much about sewing machines. Is there a simple power schematic glued to the underside or inside case of the machine, that might show the voltages of the circuits operating the machine? Did you try Googleing the make and model of the machine in case you can find some information...

    Measure a higher voltage than my O-scope can handle

    I don't know what they're called, but I have several adapters I got with a LeCroy differential amp. The adapter plugs into the (scope) probe, and the other side of the connector fits into the BNC connector. So they're out there, you just have to look for them.

    Sounds like you've done most of what I would do. I'll throw in my last resort: I don't know how expensive this unit is, but a lot of times I buy broken or damaged equivalent units off ebay, (broken, or 'don't know the condition'), as cheap as I can, and strip the thing for parts.
