    You could use a MAX232 or similar to send data to a RF module that has a built in UART. Look at the easy radio devices or something similar. Adam

    Looking at the manual, there is a compressor protection circuit built in which won't switch the compressor back on for 5 minutes. I am not sure if the fan control also follows this delay. If the "Cool on" message is flashing then it is in this delay period. Also I don't think you need the Y...

    It depends on the MOSFET. MOSFET turn on voltage is specified at generally 250 uA Ids. Some can have a turn on voltage as low as 0.2 Volts but you will only be able to draw 250 uA at this voltage. It's always best to look at the data sheet for the specific Vgs versus Ids of that MOSTFET. Thanks Adam

    I think they want you to show the workings of how you would determine the value of the resistor including the other two. You would also have to indicate the supply voltage also. Adam
