    Optical Pickup

When the guitar string is swinging back and forth making a sound, how will it amplitude modulate the IR beam when the beam is much wider than the string causing the shadow of the string to always shade the same amount regardless of it swinging? The photo detector will have a steady DC output...

    Amplifier DC Power Supply Problem

You need to learn about amplifier design and opamps to see how negative feedback reduces the voltage gain to a useable amount, reduces distortion a lot, increases the bandwidth and reduces the damping factor a lot. An audio power amplifier is designed to have a voltage gain without feedback of...

    Amplifier DC Power Supply Problem

Your plus and minus 50V cannot supply anywhere near enough current to the amplifier. Most audio amplifiers do not regulate the voltages to the output stage. Your output stage does not have any negative feedback so its distortion will be high.

Light bar: intended for car battery, but....

The wiring instructions do not say how much current the lights use so you cannot use a wall wart until you find out the current it must provide. A car battery is about 12V when it is dead to about 14.4V when it is charging and the engine is running.

    Traverse locking chime

If the car's computer produces the chime then your new radio does not have an input for the chime and nothing to turn it on during the chime.

    chaining blends

You cannot use a diode or a zener diode to pass audio. I think you want to blend the input with effect 1 then when r1 is adjusted to the left its output will be the input, or when r1 is adjusted to the right output will be effect 1, or adjusted to any mid position for a blend of the two. Then...

    Optical Pickup

The electric guitar shown in post #31 does not have a sound box or bridge for resonances. Like some electric guitars, its body is solid with no resonances. The inductance of a magnetic pickup resonates with the capacitance of its cable to give a very high peak in the upper frequencies when the...

    Class AB Power Amplifier Design

I think MD25 does not know that the output transistors are emitter-followers with no amplification of the voltage swing. Why did he use resistors that are only 10 ohms? Then the current in the resistors is about 14.3V/10 ohms= 1.43A! The amplifier I posted has an input of 0.48V peak and an...

Calculate how long a battery will feed a project

Please provide a link to the 5V very high current LEDs strips you are planning to use. Most LED strips operate from 12V and have tiny LEDs in series that use low current.

Make Amplifier from old Hi Fi

Amplifiers are not made with hundreds of parts anymore, they use an amplifier IC that is already designed and has the hundreds of parts inside it. Filter circuits are not designed for tone controls anymore, a tone controls IC is used instead.

    Class AB Power Amplifier Design

With a single-ended amplifier output then the speaker is always grounded. A bridged amplifier has two amplifiers, one of the amplifiers drives one speaker wire and the other amplifier drives the other speaker wire with opposite phase for double the voltage which produces almost 4 times the...

Make Amplifier from old Hi Fi

The Aiwa "hifi" is old and was cheap and not very good. In your 3rd year of electronics study you should be able to design a modern much better amplifier and to select modern much better speakers.

    Class AB Power Amplifier Design

Your Q-point is not at half the supply voltage, instead it is too close to 0V. EDIT: Your schematic and load line do not show -15V, instead they show ground. Your circuit uses the driving signal to turn "off" the transistors but most class-AB audio amplifiers use the driving signal to turn "on"...

Project Help-8 Channel Piezo Signal Booster/Mixer

The cheap power amplifiers you have are completely wrong to be used as the preamps you need for the piezo transducers. The volume controls have unknown pin functions. What does the drum module do? Does it make a "snare" sound when the "snare" input has a signal? For the different functions?

Project Help-8 Channel Piezo Signal Booster/Mixer

The very cheap no-name-brand amplifier is sold on ebay and at Bangood. They have no audio spec's for it like its input impedance and its voltage gain. 1) The 101 resistor is connected to the input pin 4 of the IC but 101 is only 100 ohms and it must be at least 100 times higher at 10k ohms. 2)...

    Hi guys/girls. Car project

You did not say but I assume the buttons are momentary, not on and off. Then you will need extra electronic circuits to make them turn things on and off.

Help with simple power converter issue

USB is only 5VDC. A lighter socket is 12VDC to 14.4VDC. A HUGE difference in power. You are lucky that the battery did not explode or catch on fire.
