Microcontroller controlled by pushbutton for LED flashlight

Here are the files. I have included the DIPTRACE design files so people can download the software from Dan's link and you can make any changes you might want to. Also remember you will need to change the port pin in the software for the MOSFET on and off pin to RA2, you do this at the top off...

Microcontroller controlled by pushbutton for LED flashlight

Just implemented the switch interrupt I wanted to right from the start, seems to be working ok. Will load the code, parts list and Gerber this weekend. Thanks Adam

Microcontroller controlled by pushbutton for LED flashlight

Hi Dan, I think he means the code I have written :) Adam

How to increase frequency from 50Hz to 100kHz?

Tell me what you think is happening first? You dont get it that easy :) Adam

Microcontroller controlled by pushbutton for LED flashlight

Yes Hop, go for it, just didnt know how you were getting on. The firmware can always be changed. Ads

Can you post a circuit diagram? And your code? Thanks Adam

Microcontroller controlled by pushbutton for LED flashlight

Gone a bit quiet this thread, whats the next step? I cant afford the PCBs at the moment, going to cost me £60 for the smallest panel which will give 51 PCBs. Can anyone get them for a better price? Jeff can you link to the LED module you are using, I might order one to have a play. Adam

7seg display transistor and resistor values.

You can do it either way. The NPN transistor will drop a larger voltage through it's base emitter connection than the PNP version. So you will need to have different values of LED resistor to maintain the same LED current if you tried both versions. In the following example the NPN transistor...

    Identify parts and values

OK so I think it's a BAS16 and being that the other symbol is on it's side so as not to be confused as part of the actual device code. Is either manufacture letter / number, date code (but this is usually 2 digits) or site code where the device is manufactured. Thanks Adam

    Identify parts and values

I think you will find it's the A6 which is the marking you are after. The other symbol maybe something the manufacture put on there for identification purposes for them. Let me have a look. Adam

    Arduino Pro-Mini 3.3V

LOL, Dam thought I was talking to someone famous :) I was going to say about changing the regulator, I didn't realise they had that many builds. Cheers Adam

    side: better simulators?...

Can you post the circuit so we can have a go. Adam

    Arduino Pro-Mini 3.3V

Hi M The schematic I just looked at say 150 mA for the MIC5205. If this is the same regulator then 108 mA is within spec so it should work. You will however experience 250 mV max drop on the output at 100 mA. Thanks 007 :)

    Identify parts and values

Have you read my resource? https://www.electronicspoint.com/resources/component-identification.44/ about halfway down are some links to SMD marking codes. Thanks Adam

    Guitar Preamp

My first thought would be the power amp tubes or a faulty power supply capacitors. Also have a look over the PCB and see if you can see any dry joints. Thanks Adam

How to increase frequency from 50Hz to 100kHz?

The diodes need to be Shockley diodes really but give it a go. The MOSFETs don't need to be anything special, again give them a try, I don't have time to go through the data sheets at the moment. Maybe that's something you would like to do? You could simulate it in LT spice and see if the...

How to increase frequency from 50Hz to 100kHz?

The inductor models are ideal air core. LT spice is the software I used, it's free to download. Coupling of the inductors is 1 which is ideal conditions 100%. Real life will vary greatly from this as I have said. Thanks Adam

How to increase frequency from 50Hz to 100kHz?

You can build your own circuit quite easily. Here is one I have simulated for you, it's one method used for wireless power transfer. I am able to draw 120 mA at 12 Volts from the output. The output drops to 5 volts when drawing 500 mA. All you need to do is power this circuit from a suitable...
