Help pls !.. special present for a child

When my kids were little, I built add-on's like this for their toys. Unfortunately, only I, got satisfaction from my work. Unless you're determined to do your own thing, you should look at what's out there commercially, and install it in the vehicle. The stuff from the toy-makers is...

    Pump radio control problem

How old are the pumps? Make sure your pumps are ok, before you go messing with the control circuitry.

    Transistor/semiconductor/triode?

The part number is: VN0610L. That's an old Siliconix part number. You'll have to find one on-line. Well Gain Electronics has them for $3.30 each, for example.

Florescent light flickers-----after it's been working

All my worklights over the years have been flourescents. daddles said what I would do. Replace the bulb, 95% of the time, that's the problem. Something I'd think about since this is in a ceiling fan, is to take a good look at the lamp socket, to make sure the contacts are making good contact...

Can I swap a NiMH with NiCad?

Like TBennettcc said, both NiCads and NiMH cells are typically designed for 1.2v. The reason your battery pack is composed of two cells, is to reach the 2.4V needed for your device. These days you're going to find replacement batteries at or above 2400mA/Hr. All that means, is your...

    Capacitor in Florescent Lamp

I don't know your actual circuit configuration, if the cap is part of some control board or what. The purpose of capacitors in general, is to smooth out the ripple in an AC circuit, to help smooth-out the effective voltage supplied to the load during the negative cycle of an AC waveform.

Where would I find one of these:

When you go looking for one, it'd help if there's at least a manufactuer logo on it, if not the actual part number. It looks like a pretty common type of push-button switch.

    transformer dilema

You'll probably get more info in response to this post in a little while. I worry a little when people talk about 110V vs. 220V. A lot of the foreign stuff is designed for 50 Hertz, as opposed to U.S. 60 Hertz. Depending on what you're installing this in, it might make a difference. If...

Can I swap a NiMH with NiCad?

Your charging circuit is for NiMH, I wouldn't swap NiCads for it, because the charging circuit parameters are different. The only reason you can't find 1300mAh NiMH's, is because they have considerably higher capacities these days. You can use any NiMH, that has a higher amp/hour capacity...

    High Voltage Projects

Plasma globe that was popular a few years back. Exotic gas like argon in glass globe, excited by high voltage probe, gives you the lightening from the poles to the outside of the glass. Simple, and interesting.

    Motorola chip help

I checked all my Motorola data books, no device listed for that number. Found an obscure reference to an 'REF-301767' on the web, but no info on mfgr or data sheet. Condor is apparently a subsidiary of 'SL Power Electronics' Did you try contacting the manufacturer, and asking if you can get a...

    Drilling PCBs

DO NOT use the Dremel, the rotation speed is MUCH to fast, and you will dull your drill bits faster than you can drill the holes. I know, I did it.

    Any ideas please

BEST think would be one of those infrared still camera you'll find in sportsman's catalogs. The camera is mounted where you need it. It's made for hunters to find game trails. The camera is pointed at car, and clicks pictures when sensor tripped. You wouldn,t have to monitor continuously...

    Motorola chip help

... Fluke uses six digit part numbers, ..... Do you KNOW what company made this power supply???? Lambda, Acopian, Sorenson, Elgar? I don't want to seem to be a pain about this, but cross referencing parts is time consuming. If we know who made the power supply, or the company who's...

    Motorola chip help

Before we go wasting a lot of time, what is the manufacturer of the circuit. It might help us identify if this is a proprietary part number or not. Motorola disappeared, and Freescale and On Semiconductor appeared to replace it. I've got quite a few six-digit Motorola part numbers that...

1989 Zenith Television upgraded to 2011

Like davenn says, a lot of electronics and big-box stores sell the converters. They were marketed heavily when the U.S. changed the standard for local television station broadcasts from analog to digital signal. Ask in a store that sells televisions, they'll know what you're talking about...
