Microcontroller controlled by pushbutton for LED flashlight

I see a proposition brewing here :) or you want one.

Controlling a UK mains supply from a Raspberry Pi Piface

Ok dumb questions, why can't you latch the relay on and then off just using the pin from the PI. Why pulse it? Cheers Adam

Microcontroller controlled by pushbutton for LED flashlight

Ah, a little bigger than expected and a bit pricy. LOL:eek:

Woooow well cool. You just did that. I wants one of thems. What did you do that with? Adam

Complete temp. detecting circuit-Need help tuning to desired range

Yes that would be nice, thanks for keeping me in the loop. We so often never get to see things finished because people don't come back and let us know. Adam

Complete temp. detecting circuit-Need help tuning to desired range

Yeah go for it. I used to be dead against beginners jumping straight in to using micro's, but it seems the way they want to go nowadays. Adam

Microcontroller controlled by pushbutton for LED flashlight

My Gerber software can do it. Jeff I have a file for you but it is too big to post here. Give me an email address and I'll send it to you. Update, PICs arrived today so will be making up a demo PCB to test the software. I am on holiday next week so I don't know how much time I will have. I'll...

Again I haven't got a clue what your talking about. "You need to draw your circuit and tell us what your doing" Thanks Adam

Making your own twisted shielded pair?

Why not just get hold of some cheap FTP or FFTP network cables and chop the connectors off. They use quite small gauge wires so not sure if they will work for you. You don't say what signal the cable is carrying. You could join the wires together to increase current handling capability. Adam

Old RS-232 compatibility with new computers?

Hop https://www.electronicspoint.com/threads/nano-no-longer-working.270650/ Here is a thread that I had involvement in. I had two Nano's with CF FTDI chips. Mine worked great first plug in but then the second time DEAD!. I then found windows had written a 0 into the PID for that device. This...

Will my circuit work? (trying to make a who pressed first quiz buzzer)

Yes you could look at using either transistors as a latch of maybe some invertors (CD4069) or @Colin Mitchell added another form of circuit. There are lots of different ways to do things which is what makes electronics so interesting. Have a look at latches and resettable latches to get some...

Anybody know where I can get a collection of electrical symbols clip art

Guys stop posting on this thread. We have already covered this on another thread. Robert opened a very similar post with the same circuit. I noticed this and asked him just to post on the other thread to save confusion. Cheers Adam

Microcontroller controlled by pushbutton for LED flashlight

Hi Jeff When you apply a reverse voltage to a diode, the diode is not a perfect insulator so there will be some current even in blocking mode. This current is called leakage current and is normally so small compared to the forward mode current that it is ignored. When you are designing low...

Microcontroller controlled by pushbutton for LED flashlight

Hi Jeff Ok I have checked the circuit and apart from one issue all seems to be ok. The one issue I see maybe a problem is the leakage current of the schottky diode. Just looking at the Vishay part, it's leakage current is about 60 uA at 3 Volts at 25 degC, it gets a lot worse as the temperature...
