4 Channel Car Amp not outputting

    1. Good - measure the input supply current. Are any internal LEDs lit? 2. Bummer - I suspect you'll need the remote to get the unit to power up. The 'remote' connection on the power input switches the main supply on/off but I reckon there'll be a similar signal to switch the audio on/off...

    Whirlpool control board Ivensys L1373

Sadly the OP didn't have the courtesy to get back to us with any update - particularly to the replies given by Edd and myself. The worst thing you could do would be to follow up on our suggestions and see where that gets you. Personally, since the unit otherwise 'works' I'd be very suspect of...

4 Channel Car Amp not outputting

Your Google-fu is cr@p.... http://www.ds18.com/_p/prd1/2059219655/product/gen2400.4 As little as I found is more than you provided and at least gives us something to go with: 1. Note the 'remote' connection on the power input block - this switches the main power on/off. Have you done so...

Resistor Pull-Up/Down Problems With Relay Driving Circuit And Darlington Transistor

G6K series relays have coil voltages of 5V and 12V with coil currents of 21mA and 9mA respectively. Although I have no idea what your contact loading is..... http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/2340399.pdf?_ga=2.69172689.1937666921.1507924148-997233300.1507924148

Resistor Pull-Up/Down Problems With Relay Driving Circuit And Darlington Transistor

I don't know the spec of the relay you're using but if you can sink 25mA why not just drive a suitable low power relay directly from the port?

4 Channel Car Amp not outputting

You might by now realise that we like to know the make and model numbers - perhaps a schematic and/or link to the manuals? It's difficult to diagnose a fault from 'pictures' and randomly taken measurements. Is there a 'mute' circuit for the amp?

30W and 4x8W audio amplifier circuit?

If you're overly concerned for eBay products then you'd be wary enough to take precautions before connecting speakers and/or power. Unless you've had multiple experiences of failure I think it's a little premature to be discounting such sources on 'one' example...

voltage regulator at 4.3V and 0.7V from 5V input that can handle inputs up to +-12V

I don't see that device as a power supply - I see it as a power MONITORING device that alarms at the loss or exceeding of certain set parameters. U12 is driving a line (U10 pin 13) to logic 1/0 (given it seems to be supplied from -5V and +5V, dropped by CR2 to give 4.3V) and U10 pin 12 is...

30W and 4x8W audio amplifier circuit?

That's an unusual way to specify an amplifier output (volts/amps) - the usual xx watts into yy ohms is normal. You then chose your class, decide on your power supply etc and go from there. SMD is here to stay - either adapt to it or use devices that will, in very short order, become obsolete...

    Progress

ahhhh - the days when documenting electronics had a department all of its own in most manufacturing companies! The reason why there's a growing support base for 'antique' electronics is precisely because it's stuff that can be serviced and has been thoroughly documented in its design and...

    Treadmill NordicTrack Elite 4000

I know you're correct on this (the Google reference you quote) but this is one English word (amongst many I suppose) that doesn't 'feel' right to me. I'm tempted to contact Suzy (Dent) to get her opinion on why I feel this way about it - it's probably coz I'm an old fuddy duddy!

For Sale: Any info/interest? Tdec and sdec solderless boards

Classics! They were the first prototype boards and very popular in their day. Much superseded by the modern 0.1" matrix proto-boards we see now (for 'pennies' too) those old T-dec and S-dec may find some interest in the 'vintage' community - have a post on the UK Vintage Radio Restoration...

    DC Actuator problem

With the fault being intermittent and the only 'moving' parts are the relay contacts then changing the relays seems to be a logical step.

    Component Identification

Judging by the wire that's used to form the resistive part it's going to be sub-1Ω. WHERE in the circuit did this part come from? What is the make/model of the PSU anyway? Someone may know the whereabouts of or even have a schematic.

    Faulty Charging Circuit

Your schematic is in error. In order for charging to stop your first schematic (at the start of this thread) shows the lower LM358 having a 'floating' Vcc connection. I suspect this is meant to be supplied via Q33 S8050 which itself is switched via the comparator (top LM358) which sets the...
