    Tektronics 2252 Scope

My two cents, which may not help. Last two 2252's I worked-on, the problem was in the top row of pushbuttons (Clear Display thru Store/Recall set-up). You may very well have a circuit problem, but I'd take a serious look at those push-buttons (the switches themselves), before I knocked myself...

part number ic 6-pins smd ic U1 with marking 850029

Can't help you with this part. I use your HP Cross-Reference a lot, thanks for putting it on the web for easy access. Sounds like you try to cross other parts too. I've got a whole lot of parts that I can't ID, it's become kind of a hobby with me. Any possibility we could communicate? Maybe...

Deep cycle battery full state of charge

I agree it's probably your batteries themselves. Your expected change-out with replacements (if THEY"RE good), should solve the problem. 9 months on the store shelf was not good, but manufacturing problems with the plates and/or electrolyte are always a possibility. It really sounds like in...

    Audio Amplifried

Can't vouch for your amplifier. Over the years I've fried 3 different devices on 220vac in foreign countries (US 120vac devices). In all cases, transformer was destroyed. Good luck.

ID Mfgr of Soldering Iron Tips

Have some soldering iron tips, but can't remember which irons they originally fit. They're marked: WL-3, WL-4, WL-14, WL-16 Anybody know which manufacturer made the prefix 'WL' for their soldering iron tips?

    Sound problem older Mitsubishi tv

I don't know if you're an electronics tech or not. Typically I've found on the old Mitsubishi's, that a small capacitor fries on the audio printed circuit board. If you are knowledgeable about these things, take the cover off, follow the speaker wires back, and you'll probably find a burned...

Help needed to Identify & locate part

This is probably not going to help, but any info is probably better than no info: Your IC was made when Fairchild was really Fairchild (1981, 7th week). Since then fairchild was bought by somebody else, who dumped them years later. The new company is called Fairchild, but they don't support...

    Burroughs Proprietary Part Numbers

Anybody know of a reasonably complete Burroughs proprietary part number cross reference? Back in the 1980's Burroughs merged with some other company, to create a completely new company. I've been scrounging the internet, and have a fair number of partial cross references,... but there are a lot...

    IC checker

(*steve*) is correct. If you have a limited number of IC's you want to test, the old manufacurer data books used to have a simple test circuit for EACH DEVICE individually, at the end of the data sheet. But there's no way you're going to be able to test all IC's with one device.

    DSC alarm system

Since your back-up battery wasn't working, you lost all your initial entry code information,... your system no longer remembers your initial arming code. Find the manual, or contact the mfgr, and find-out how to set-up your system from scratch again. (This is assuming the system wasn't damaged...

    Which datasheet to use?

If you can see the manufacturer's logo on the transistor, you should be able use the manufacturer's data sheet. The parameters are different because the 2N2222A is available in both plastic (TO-92 type) packages, and also in steel or aluminum cans.

    Texas Instruments Proprietary IC's?

Trying to identify some 14-Pin DIP IC's, made by Texas Instruments. Does anybody know anything about the markings, and what they might cross to? 158-2606 158-2763 158-5996 158-9129 I don't know if they're some obsolete family of IC's, or proprietary markings for some company. Anybody...

    Fairchild Diodes

Yeah, thought I'd give it a try, to see if anybody's seen this before. My best guess is probably old military designation. I've got some similar diodes made by Motorola, with duplicate letter prefix/suffix,... and an obvious date-code in the middle.(1980's) Thanks for taking a look at them...

    Fairchild Diodes

Trying to identify some older, glass, Fairchild diodes, is anybody familiar with this marking system? GG901GG GY918GY GY929GY GY930GY GY035GY I tried contacting Fairchild customer service, (E-Mail & Phone), Fairchild never responded. Either the markings are proprietary, or so old the...
