    Cuk converter ripple current

Right here is my design. I had to change the frequency because I couldn't go that low with the device I chose. But goes to show how the formula works in a simulation. Fig 1. Circuit Diagram Fig 2. Inductor Current in L1 Fig 3. Formula and Calculations So from this you can see...

    Cuk converter ripple current

Ok here is my attempt. I'll simulate it later and see if we are close. Adam

    Cuk converter ripple current

It is strange that your course has asked you about such an unusual terminology. Most Cuk designs are for a negative inverter not a converter. For a positive version of thisyou would have to have a transformer of some kind. Adam

Clue your looking for about 164uH. In your defence I will have a look and make sure I have not confused you. Adam

    Alarm when handbag opens accidentally

The fact they supplied a circuit diagram indicates an interest in electronics, we should pursue this before say buy a new handbag. Thats all I am saying.

    How does the current flow?

Umm I might upset people if I commented on this. So all I will say is Ben Franklin got it wrong, he had a 50/50 chance to get it right. We are now stuck with it as all the circuit diagram symbols lend them to conventional current. Most of the text books get it wrong so dont worry if your...

    Alarm when handbag opens accidentally

Thats not what this Forum is about, it is about helping people with an interest in electronics. We can all say buy it from ebay. Who cares if a bigger bag with a better clip stops this, the OP might not want a new bag. Adam

    Primer on Transformers needed

Hi Dave That's fair enough, I wasn't talking about any particular type of transformer or inductor. I was merely adding something about core materials and trying to keep it basic. Regardless of transformer construction, permeability is the ratio of B(flux density) to H (magnetizing force) and as...

    Primer on Transformers needed

Core material effects many factors but mostly the permeability and hysteresis of the core. This effectively is how easy the core will transport magnetic flux. A cores resistance to magnetic flux is called reluctance so a core with a high permeability will have a low reluctance. But due the...

Robot servos shaking when registering to a network via radio

What power supply are you using and where do you take the power for the servos from, what servos are you using? Can you show us a schematic? What timings are you using for the servo PWM. Adam

    Cuk converter ripple current

Ok here is what I have so far. See if you can follow it? You will have to do a bit of work yourself. :) I am going to be a bit mean here and get you started and see if you can fill in the blanks. Ok first thing I would do is work out the duty cycle (DC) needed. This is DC Vout / (Vin+???)...

    Cuk converter ripple current

Ok as it's a distance learning course I'll give you a little more help. I'll see if I can put something together tonight. But because it's quite unclear and you don't have a circuit I will have to generate one so the answers may not be exactly what you want but close enough. Adam
