    Amps, amp-hours, and power

Beat me to it Gryd3, So I scrubbed what I was going to say except it sounds like one battery is deaded, gonner, all dried out!!!! If you're using both batteries the same way, and one lasts 0.15 mins and the other lasts 12.5 hours..... To get more power you will need to wire the two in parallel...

    lasers power supply problem

Hello, Try putting jumper wires to the opposite corner. Sounds like you're getting a voltage drop. 48 lasers from a poor little 3v!! Martin

    LED strips not lighting up

Actually, 500 mA should be adequate for LEDs But without knowing the LEDs specifications it's hard to say. Just get anything with higher milli-amp output. 600, 700, 800 etc. The strip has current limiting resistors so no harm can be done. Martin

Help Removing Bulbs from Mini Christmas String

Yes, sorry....I worked on 50 x 2.5v and 25 x 5v. But LEDs are more efficient, cool running and safe!. Martin

How to Charge an 8 AA NiMH Battery Holder?

Hi Jake, Yes, Bluejets and Uncle Chris are both correct. (as usual):) Regarding the cells, each one 'should' have it's Maximum and standard charge rates printed on them.. Example: Standard 230 mAh 12/14 Hrs - Maximum 1150 mAh 2.5 Hrs. Also as Chris pointed out, only the voltages can be added...

Help Removing Bulbs from Mini Christmas String

My honest opinion would be to change the set for LEDs. 15 Watts is quite significant. You could wire 2 bulbs in parallel through a series string to halve what you have now.. In other words 5v bulbs in series.. Martin

Need help on the evaluation board of a capacitive readout chip

I have no idea and couldn't find anything with a quick search.. Have you checked with your DMM whether it makes any difference with and without jumper? A simple continuity check would verify either way.. Martin

home theater system not equipped with headphone output port

You would put this unit between the HDMI out and any other equipment. Or simply on the HDMI out. HDMI carries digital audio so the unit converts it to analog and out the RCA's. Some have a switch too for 5.1 and 2 channel and headphone out also. That type would better suit you. Whatever you play...

20 Watt LED Dimmer Circuit diagram

I think you need to read how to wire leds in series/parallel. Your homemade diagram is much better than your 'other' design. But you have to know the specifications of your leds. Are they 3.5v and 350ma each? What would be the resistor value? Would you need 1 watt or 2 watt resistors? Can you...

20 Watt LED Dimmer Circuit diagram

I don't think that will work! I think you need to design this again including a transistor and powering the leds from 12v rails.

    LED strips not lighting up

It seems you have discovered the wire to the leds is ok! So that only leaves the adapter itself. 9v wont power the strip. It is a little on the small side, if each led is 3.2v or 3.5v x 3. (9.6v or 10.5v).. I think you need to get your soldering iron out and a new 12v adapter. Have...
