    Hi cellist, Yes, there are some ways around this situation if you are capable (no insult) of taking a part and soldering etc. What unit have you got? It could be as simple as a connector to output RCA's. Martin

    Even for 8 hours use, it's still 32 Amp-hours. 4A * 8 hours = 32 Ah. I think your monitor probably doesn't draw that much current. You could verify this by putting an ammeter in series with it to see. It might be less than 2 amps in reality. Martin
