    Windows 10...opinions?

Hey Gryd3, If you like being held to randsome. There is always an alternative. Many Linux users always ask the same. Linux isn't windows. So don't expect it to behave the same. It will do more than Windows will ever allow the individual to do. There are more gui's for Linux than Windows. So...

    Windows 10...opinions?

My two cents worth, I still prefer XP. Although Win 7 does a good job, I use both. Win 8 and 8.1 are useless unless you are of the touch screen generation. I hate tiles. I want to control my computer not it control me!. I will also never go for the free upgrade to win 10. As already mentioned...

    Traffic light sequencer

Hello, can you post a picture of the cluster or tell us what voltage ie batteries were in the torch? You cannot drive 9 leds from an output without extra components. Martin

    2-stage Class A Amplifier: Gains(voltage and power)

He didn't need to. I got Patuleas' protoype working!:D Martin

    Traffic light sequencer

Hello Caveatlector, That should be simple enough to do. You say you have led clusters? Can you be more specific what you have and how they are connected? Because you may need a transistor on the outputs to run more leds. But simply the 4017 has 10 outputs. But not so simply, is the output pins...

    series parallel RC circuit help

Agreed.... Fully energized.... Naughty teacher.... The OP hasn't returned as per! We have done transistor, done capacitor! I know, resistors!!.... Martin

    series parallel RC circuit help

That was my point Hop, he didn't 'think' anything. Just following a homework paper. It is not the fault of the pupil to show the 'actual' paper involved. My point was, they used 'fully charged' for that paper!. The responses should have been appropriate! Not a lecture on capacitors. We all use...

Is there anyone familiar with the Pioneer DEH-55SDK car stereo?

Hello OhMy 'gawd', Nice photos. But can you take close up pics of the letters / numbers on the board by the connectors? You may have to push the wires to one side in order to do so. Also, you may be required to lift the lid and take more pics (close) of the inside of the connectors and the...

Hi Mike, So what is it exactly that you need help with? Programming or a robot with buttons? I read your post twice. Sorry if I missed something. Martin

    series parallel RC circuit help

Hi Bottomsup, (culos arriba). That schematic is worded incorrectly. It says " fully charged" when it should read " energized". Your teacher should know better than to use 'slang' for teaching. I took the liberty to edit your schematic. Posts #2 and #3 are still appropriate. Although we all knew...

    2-stage Class A Amplifier: Gains(voltage and power)

Mark, stop calling me sir! please:) Pretty much any transistor. The 2N2222 will be just fine. It's the circuit that makes an amp or a switch. Not the transistor. The transistor can be used for both. Martin

A 2N2222. Here is a great tutorial with calculations too. Here. Martin

    2-stage Class A Amplifier: Gains(voltage and power)

That circuit is using an NPN transistor. Try using a 2n3055 as stated in the article here. Martin

    2-stage Class A Amplifier: Gains(voltage and power)

Hi Mark, I couldn't possibly say. What circuit have you designed? A small signal transistor to a mosfet will do. A BJT will require about 0.7v and a mosfet about 3v or more. If you upload the circuit diagram I am sure somebody will be able to help you. Martin

    2-stage Class A Amplifier: Gains(voltage and power)

Well that would depend on the use of the amp. 20 - 20,000Hz is the general audio frequencies. Or for low bass 20Hz and lower. Martin

How should I correctly remove this ribbon cable from this synthesizer circuit board?

Hi Nick, Those connectors will pull straight off. Put a finger nail both sides on top and carefully pull it, keeping the connector flat on the board. Martin

    DC motor undervoltage (continued)

LOL, Chris, where's ya gloves, where's ya gloves? (Chelsea Tune). I think I know the answer! (that's a first). I deleted it though. Because I am more than likely wrong!! :( EDIT:. The real reason is because he wants you! No third party invited...:D Martin

    series parallel RC circuit help

I don't, or never would disagree witth you!. But some people simply cannot understand the physics! I am one of them! To feed children in a class with physics of a capicitor is obviously good! But the majority wont be head strong to understand the physics! Hence an analogy works! Then the...
