Copyright: For Electronic Schematics and Code

I think as long as it is your own work then you are technically granted copyright as soon as you create the document. Although it's not legal binding in the UK you could send the design documents to yourself recorded delivery and keep them in a sealed envelope somewhere safe. It might help you...

    741 as differential amplifier

Hi Kris I thought this was only in effect when the inputs were grounded and you need 5mV between them for the output to be zero. So what you are saying is this offset is always multiplied by the gain? cheers Adam

    741 as differential amplifier

To be honest I have never used that configuration as a sense amplifier before. I can see now why it won't work very well. Another reason is the inputs are not referenced to 0V like a low side sense would be. This means the output needs to be referenced to 0V to be say put into an A/D. This is...

    741 as differential amplifier

Input offset is the voltage difference needed between the two inputs to cause a change on the output. Adam

Yes sorry Kris your right I must have read about the 741 replacement. Adam

Turns on LED upon receiving IR signal

Both IR receivers will respond to the Transmitter even if you are modulating them. It's what you do with the modulation that is important. they use a 38KHz carrier that you modulate. You need to modulate them differently and then process that modulation to find out which one is which. I don't...

    741 as differential amplifier

Hi Kris I think the newer ones are rail to rail now, which is why I asked what version. Never used a 741 so I might be wrong. Adam

    741 as differential amplifier

Swap the input round and increase the value of the sense resistor to 100mR.

    741 as differential amplifier

What version of 741 do you have? Most op-amps won't go that low with a single supply.

    741 as differential amplifier

What is the voltage you are getting. What do you think you should be getting for you to say it's not working?

    741 as differential amplifier

Do you think the LED might be round the wrong way. Also when corrected should the LED have a current limit resistor? Also the non inverting terminal can't go more positive than the inverting terminal, so your output will be at approx. 1V all the time. Adam

Finding a replacement transistor for a theremin design

Just did live chat with them, they have actually 1316pcs at $0.19 each but unfortunately $250.00 min spend.

PIC Assembly Code Not Working, PICKit2, Ultrasonic Sensor

RA3 is input only and is normally used for reset line(MCLR). If not it can only be used for an input and you have to set this in CONFIG 1 to disable the reset function. Adam

high powered LED project - newbie to electronics

I don't think I can help you anymore. I don't want to be responsible for making someone sick. Flashing lights can cause epilepsy. So sorry I am out. Thanks Adam
