    BANG <-- that's the bit you ignored. If it is 85-265V then you don't have to switch it. I think that attempting to switch the voltage while the power supply is on is dangerous and should be abandoned as an idea.

    Relays are pretty slow. Also those switches are not designed to be switched when the power is on. I would suggest that you risk a very large bang when the relay is operated. I'm very surprised that there is nobody in the United States that has the items you're looking for.
