    Why would you get nothing? Using a low foward drop diode (germanium or schottky diode to rectify 1 half of the wave form) dc bias offset an ac coupling , why not?

    You need a way of charging the batteries/battery, supplying the correct amount of current and voltage.. A step down transformer from mains to dc to power your charger Then it's a feed from your battery to what you're powering, there's not much you can buy off the shelf, maybe a 12v or 5v usb...

    You need to have a battery meet the voltage specs, 12vdc? Then use aa batteries in series to make 12v Providing it's not a 110/240 ac connection..

    I measured 19v with full light... And i'm happy to take the risk because when the panel is in use, the cap never reaches 19v under load.. Having said that, could i get away with 19v on a 16v cap... i bet i could, i just doubt it would make it's life expectancy... Electrolytic caps really only...

    I've been using a 16v 10000uf cap on a solar panel which supplies 19v/10w solar panel... Not yet exploded (handles 19v ok lol) ... Yet :p
