Need help with long distance circuit

The first transatlantic morse code cables put across the sea bed from UK to US suffered the same fate... But they never explained how they solved it just that the stray capacitances were to blame.. A bleed resistor (pull down) does the job so is the same applied for long cables?

PSU Repair- Transformer outputting wrong voltage. Help much appreciated =)

That's all well and good... But why did you buy a replacement transformer? What was wrong (if anything) with the old one? If your old one died, it would be due to excessive current caused by what ever's attached... (Connecting it won't fix it, only blow it again, if indeed it's dead)

Help To Change The Led Colors On A Pinoeer DJM 400 Mixer

Providing they're not Surface Mount LEDs the only tricky part is opening it up and getting where you need... Just swap the LEDs, even 25ma through a regular high brightness LED won't kill it, i drove an LED at 80ma for 8 hours before it faded :)

LED Strips Display driven from 555 / 4017 counter

Ok, so you cut 10 strips for the 4017? Each 4017 pin out will require a mosfet capable of delivering the max load, use a multimeter and get the total current (in series) used per strip.. This will tell you the minum load and the cheapest mosfets to do the job, if the total load is under...

    Working with high voltage pulses

Thing is, these devices put out high voltage (but next to no current) So powering the device is tricky, i'd opt for a small solar panel and a push button to test the voltage.. Gryd's suggestion of a voltage divider sounds good, depending on the voltage, you could have different LEDs light up...

    Help with decreasing current

I'd really not use a 7812 or 7809 for 2 reasons... 1... unless you have a low drop out version, you'll struggle to get 12v out 2... if you require 9v, that's going to heat up the regulator fast A simple switcher (lm2596 for example) will give you 1.5v to 12v from the car, feed 9v into your...

    Help with decreasing current

One thing you should be aware of , the alternator could output up to 14v or higher putting extra stress on the components... I suggest a simple switching regulator to provide a constant 12v

    am I mean????

No, not mean... just a sense of humor, youtube jimmy car and the worlds most offensive joke, and as long as it is a joke and you're not serious, if they get upset the joke is on them... But, so many people are sensitive, and any of them would think you're mean, glad to see the officer taking a...

240W power adapter can cause problems for a laptop designed for 180W?

Yup, not actually giving enough current... The other thing is, what's your location? Is it over heating?

    Nitenol/Heat Pumps etc

Let's then go into space build a wall to block out light to one side and let the light / heat hit the otherside and drive a turbine 24/7.. However, there's no way of getting the power back, but here on earth the temperature exchange in the air would be a problem.. So how about a vacuum...
