    Conductivity and Energy storage?

You might be thinking of a Capacitor, you can take energy (small amounts) and fill a capacitor, the only difference being, a capacitor charges and discharges all it's energy in only a few MS, while a battery can not.

identify the ohmage of this slide potentiometer..

I remember once hearing Rust is a Semi Conductor sometimes used in WW2 to try and pick up a radio signal from the Allies hiding out in Germany. Is it possible some rust is obscuring the results? eg making contact or not making contact or increasing resistance in the slider part of the pot?

you want to make DC more 'special' than others... 12vdc vs 12vdc special?... give it a card saying how special you are?

    How dangerous?

or learn how to use the correct resistor for what you need, you're putting way too much current through them if they're blowing so easily, if a resistor burns you know there's 1 serious issue lol

    Electricity Flowing (how quick)

Trying to work out how faster a router could send data, turns out higher the voltage or more amperage, the faster the signal will travel..... now here's this guy's example on how fast electrons travel... ready for this?... i need confirmation of this lol http://amasci.com/miscon/speed.html

    Extend battery life

Tasteless suggestion removed Another tasteless suggestion removed To answer your question (to the one who sometimes has to use batteries and sometimes does not which runs on 2 AA's ( Seriously!) you got a few options... 1. Get one of them universal adapter power plug pack thingies off ebay or...

    Transparent Electronic Objects....

Transparent Electronic Objects.... Possible yet? - eg a transparent (well almost by that you see to the other side and out) object like a small diamond, dice, earring size, keyring size, to produce some sort light and activates when dark..... for example, a diamond (shaped) earring, inside the...

DC > DC converter problems please help!!

Here's an example, take a very dead very flat 9v battery, it says 4volts when you take a reading... you connect the 9v battery and connect it to an LED rated 40ma , forget the resistor for now, it's a dead battery.. The LED is rated 3.2volts 20ma, the battery is supplying 4volts still, you'll...

    Question about ac adapters

if it is wrong, it's as simple as cutting the cable and flip the 2 connecting wires, if you're still not sure, use a multimeter and slice the cable off, and measure the resistance to the plug on the end of the cord with the 2 wires, you'll be able to locate the positive terminal like that...

Why does my camera go flat so fast?

if the flash is a xenon flash (high voltage, arc type flash) - not surprised. You NEED to use lithium batteries, nimh just wont cut.. if you want to use rechargeables... you're going to be quite limited to what you can do. 1. Use Lithium Batteries. 2. Use a 14500 (www.dealextreme 14500 AA...

    Air Plane Crashes (Pilot Error)

That i have no idea about that... no wait yes you're right because on some planes they have a little fan type thing (wind generator) to give the captain basic controls and this is where this circuit could come in handy, it may not be able to control but it can give assistance make sure the...

    Air Plane Crashes (Pilot Error)

If that's not enough to bring the bird down, please show me what is, a storm would bring a plane down but the software would still rescue it by constantly adjusting every ms to everything a really bad storm could hit it, eg imagine to sever cross winds when landing, the computer could easily...

    Air Plane Crashes (Pilot Error)

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=lightning+strikes+planes if you need to see some examples of that :P - I think the software providing written could not only save your life, but constantly correct any errors, eg if 5 minutes in the flight 1 sensor dies, it will see that sensor (that...

    Air Plane Crashes (Pilot Error)

Lightning strikes are realitively safe to planes, there's many strikes to planes every year and nothing fails off the top of my head there is protection for strikes.. But yes, nothing new here, most planes are fitted with sonar type devices to look for corridors in storm to ride through them...

    Air Plane Crashes (Pilot Error)

Van - yep exactly, there's a case where a plane lost hydrolic fluid all they had was the rudder and acceleration they managed to learn how to fly it based on trial and error, accelerate up the plane would put its nose up, and visa versa, after 3 hours of learning how to control this messed up...

    Air Plane Crashes (Pilot Error)

That's not what i meant, I meant 9/10 cases where's it's PURELY pilot error and the plane crashes and it turns out the plane could have been rescued IF the pilot did X,Y,Z but only did X.. the computer could step in and make the plane safe... the 1 out of the 10 (yeah you're right i'm...
