For decent batteries that are capable of very high discharge rates, have a look at those intended for model aircraft.

    Solenoid Motor Strength

Have looked at the link videos. I think all the info you need to build a motor is in there. The only thing is, to do any useful work will require quite a lot of power which will have to come from somewhere. How big is the raft?

    building an audio crossover

I would suggest that you read Don Lancaster's book "The Active Filter Cookbook". It tells you all you could want to know about active filters and comes down on the the side of the "equal value component Sallen - Key" topology. As for designing a practical speaker, regardless of whether you use a...

What's the function(s) of the extra contacts on so many cellphone's batteries?

Li-ion batteries need to be charged in a certain way, paying very very close attention to the charge voltage per cell plus a method of current limiting, termination of charge and preferably some thermal feedback that can also be used to terminate the charge process.

Logarithmic or linear potentiometers for volume and a 3 band EQ

I've built a few guitar amps over the years. For level control you definitely need a Log Pot. For the tone controls you will want Linear Pots. For the gain control you could use either type though a Linear type is probably preferable. I guess it depends on what you have in your bits box. If all...

Honda Insight battery trickle charge/discharge cycle control.

I'm not aware of any published circuits that would satisfy your requirements. I expect there is enough knowledge within this forum to help with design. What sort have equipment do you have to help with your design?

Honda Insight battery trickle charge/discharge cycle control.

I expect you do could do as you require with some relatively simple hardware. A couple of comparators to determine peak voltage and discharge status plus a simple counter using a 4017 to end the cycle of charge and discharge.

    Phase Shift Oscillator Puzzle

A single inverter will oscillate with a capacitor from the input to ground and a resistor from its output to the input.

    Solenoid Motor Strength

The chart I saw said 0.0126Ω per inch which equates to 0.152Ω per foot. Maybe some of the charts that can be found via google may not be entirely dependable..

    Solenoid Motor Strength

The puling force created in your copper pipe will be nil, zero, none. you will need a ferromagnetic core such as iron in the middle of you coil for any force to be generated. The force generated will depend on the ampere turns and average diameter of the coil. The dc resistance of 28AWG wire is...

General Advice on How to Learn Best

Buy a book called "The art of electronics" written by Paul Horowitz and Winfield Hill; ISBN0787721907244. This reference is for the third edition which most current as far as I am aware. This book really is the Bible of electronics and takes the reader from the basics onwards.

Inverting a negative PWM signal to a Positive PWM

Your description is a little confusing. Modern cars have a negative earth. This means that the chassis is connected to the negative terminal of your battery. In technical parlance, the negative terminal would be called 0V. Circuit voltages would then be referred to 0V be they positive With...

    TDA2030a Amplifier I.C. Specs

For the TDA2030, there is no gain absolute. The datasheet does not recommend or imply any minimum gain requirement. This means that it could be used from unity gain, essentially a voltage follower, to much larger gain values. Its quoted open loop gain is the gain of the amplifier with no applied...

Finding internal resistance of a cell/battery

Lets carry out a bit of a thought experiment which may be repeating what you already know. Think of the circuit as two resistors. One of which is the load and the other is the battery's internal impedance. We shall designate the internal impedance as "Z" and the load resistance as "R". In the...

What is the ic in this NPF970 lipo usb battery?

J6B0 looks like an SMD code. There are a number of code reference publications around that may help to identify this device. See links below for some of them. https://www.sphere.bc.ca/download/smd-codebook.pdf http://www.s-manuals.com/smd http://www.marsport.org.uk/smd/mainframe.htm...
