Trouble understanding circuitry for guitar pedal project

Ed, I was going to redraw it also and then convert it to 3D view in my Tina. Unfortunately my 3D function isn't working properly, so I gave up. Computers and software are wonderful tools when everything is working properly. When they start to do weird things I want to shoot them! :) Good job...

Help me draw this circuit's diagram

Edd, after seeing the schematic you drew it only confirms the comments I made regarding the circuit link I posted. RE SMD resistor mounted upside down. There should be a law! RE the 2.2Ω Vcc decoupling resistor. I don't think it does much. Heck, it doesn't even have a bypass cap associated...

    Reverse Polarity Damage... I think???

It's hard to argue with that but for future reference he may want to know how to check for it before doing a smoke test. ;) Chris

If you have an Ohmmeter (DMM) you can test for it. Chris

how to install a simulation model into proteus ISIS

This might best be answered by Proteus/Isis. Importing uC spice models is a lot more involved than other devices. Chris

    Negative Spike Voltage

Hey Bob! I love a guy that has convictions and sticks to them. Here in S. Florida the term "Drive Through" takes on a whole new meaning. Cinder Block walls are little protection. Reinforced Concrete is the only barrier that stops them! Even then it's little protection for some that must get to...

brevor, you have no idea how pleased I am that you've got this. I suspect it's going to be a long thread. Stick with it. Chris

Help me draw this circuit's diagram

Marco, "the same" is relative in this case. Since the 324 is a quad OpAmp it's very possible that different amps and different pins were used for different segment of the circuit. This would be especially true if the link I posted didn't use SMD components. In that case the designer would have...

    Burning laser

Now this is scary stuff! It's reminiscent of One Eye Billy Bob that fires a squib and thinks "Duuh, is the gun empty?" while peeking down the muzzle! ...."Hello! Anything in there?!" Chris

Help me draw this circuit's diagram

Ah, that's why some of the traces are not exactly running at right angles. The board was probably not made from a CAD. Take a look at what I found. There are two of them on the page. I believe one of them is yours! ;) http://solorb.com/elect/pwm/pwm2/ Chris

    Radio, ac or dc?

Russ, please don't say "cheers" to my nephew Marty. He thinks it's a signal to pop a cork! :p Chris

    Radio, ac or dc?

Marty, you always find great graphics. :) Duke, great call on the tape symbol. I was clueless! Russ, RE: NPN / PNP Transistors. As I said I didn't expect you to. If you hang here now and then you'll eventually know. Sometimes nubes come here with a singular question to be answered...

    Radio, ac or dc?

Now this is what I call optimism. Do you really think the OP is likely to even understand the question? ;) Old is a relative term. 30 years was just yesterday. It can very well be Transistorized ... Silicon too! :) Chris

exporting a String to an LCD

My skill in 'C' is just about zip but doesn't the Propeller accept "text strings"? Most languages recognize strings by putting them between "quotes". BTW, since my C and Propeller experience is zero I was reluctant to reply but since no one else has I didn't want to see your post just hanging...

    Reverse Polarity Damage... I think???

Ha! The more I search the cheaper they're getting. Here's yet another Polarity Converter ($1.99) shipping. If I'm lucky I'll find one from China. That one will have free shipping and they'll pay me to ship it! :D Chris

Well finding this Polarity Converter was harder than I thought. As usual it's all in the search terms. Another one Polarity Converter (Free Shipping) Chris

    Reverse Polarity Damage... I think???

Yes, I've ranted about th(-)s practice before. It is so damn counter intuitive that th(+)s should be made international LAW! By the way John, they actually make coaxial inline adapters to reverse this obnoxious practice. No cutting, wire swapping and soldering required. ;) Chris

    Working with high voltage pulses

Another thought.. I think we can make the divider-rectifier- filter capable of driving the analog input of an LM3914. The circuit would have to be powered by batteries or mains to LVDC power though. Chris

O-N, I forgot to mention that I'm addicted to Youtube log splitter vids. Some are insanely dangerous but those are found under "Epic Fail"! Chris
