How to increase 555 Timer Frequency

I'm going to find you an beat you with a bat! :D Then everything I said originally stands. By the way R2 is not needed. Chris

    Stepping up voltage

Yes, R3 is an unrealistic value. Way to high. Chris

    Pulse Train Detection

Well, 150uS will be much easier to deal with in any case. ;) Chris

    Electric/Battery Metronome

Damn, you read my mind! Solenoid linkage would be messy and cumbersome. Chris

How to increase 555 Timer Frequency

If he was then what you posted is true but he did specify R3. I guess we need conformation from Stu. Chris

    Simple transistor circuit problem

Or he could do this. LED2 is used in place of a more expensive Zener or a 3 stack of 1N4002's or 1N914's. Chris

    High Frequency Preamp

That would be dBm. ;) http://www.rapidtables.com/electric/dBm.htm Chris

    Pulse Train Detection

Yup, that'll work too. ;) Chris

Help needed and appreciated Battery powered heat source

Google "LM317 Data Sheet". It should include a typical adjustable voltage output circuit. Chris

    Low frequency Amplifer

The bias resistor can be split into two resistors with their common node bypassed to gnd with a cap. This maintains bias stability while removing negative signal feedback. ;) Chris

They also recommended a car or motorcycle battery. Is that in your plans? Chris

How to increase 555 Timer Frequency

He said that was a misprint. R3 is only 100 Ohms. Chris

    Pulse Train Detection

Where did 150nS come from? Did it change from this first post? Chris

    230ac to 5vdc

Put an Ammeter in line with the primary. With inductance that low I expect to see excessively high current ... especially if you shunt that 1 Ohm resistor. Chris

Getting more gain from 5532 op amp?

Bob brings up a good point. I'm not a musician but I believe the input impedance of many instrument amps are hi Z, so the drivers that feed them expect same. Chris

How to increase 555 Timer Frequency

Then you're generating a near symmetrical waveform, IE Square Wave? Chris Edit: In that case you only need to vary R4

    Pulse Train Detection

The OpAmp circuit you posted is identical to the Data-Sheet's test circuit, so there's nothing wrong there. Since you want to detect a momentary loss of a pulse train try Googling "555 Missing Pulse Detector". Chris

    230ac to 5vdc

Your Transformer model appears to be modeled as Coupled Inductors. Does LT Spice provide a Transformer model also? Transformer models are modeled in terms of turns ratio, coupling (k) coefficient, Rprim, Rsec. Chris

    230ac to 5vdc

That xfmr indicates Pri= 50uH, Sec: 400uH. I don't think so and may be why LT Spice is upchucking without the 1Ω in the primary. The input current will be in the ozone without it. Chris

How to increase 555 Timer Frequency

Don't think Stuart needs that here but if he does a high current measuring project this will be very useful. ;) Chris
