    I'm assuming your referring to Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to control a small DC motor. The kit price for this (Ebay for one) can't be undercut by you building from scratch. Chris

    This surprises me. I was off on the Garand, as it weighs 9.5lbs empty but the 16 always felt like a toy rifle to me in comparison. If you want a heavy attention getter, that would be the M2 .50Cal. It's an oldie but a goody. Chris

    Bob, the standard issue WWII M1 Garand weighed in at near 8 pounds empty. I was never a fan of the M16 but I'm guessing probably closer to 5 pounds empty. It would be interesting to see what your calculations return at this weight. Chris
