    Laser diode power questions

You could add a little dc dc converter to the 6v supply( or whatever battery you have in the required range) . They cost about $1.00 off Ebay. Just need to adjust to the required 5v output. Edit: Note these are a step-down unit. There are others that go up or down...

    Burglar alarm.

I like the one where the burglar was confronted by somone calling from a dark corner "Jesus is watching and will punish you". Burglar calls back " who is that?" Voice calls back " it's Moses the parrot here". Burglar says "what idiot would call a parrot Moses". Parrot calls back " same...

Scooter motor to power wood lathe

Most lathes get low down speed by a simple back-gear arrangement. Just might be a lot less mucking about in the long run. Should be ample info about how to do it on Google.

    Rotel rx203 receiver

Do not "lube" anything. Spring may have broken or unattached. Do as kellyseye suggested.

    Pulse Width Modulation

With 2 output mosfets I would imagine it would be half the "on" resistance, so half the voltage drop on the mosfets. Just what this figure actually is depends on how hard the mosfets are turned on. Spec sheet says around 0.018 ohm.

    Bare copper wire Question

Just be aware there is acid and non-acid silicone ....latter preferred for electrical. Obvious from the odor which is which.

    Code light to pulse

Run 12v to the RAW input . Not wise to go too much over 12v although others argue with this. A 168 pro mini has about half the memory of a 328 which won't be of much concern here but they cost about the same so why bother with the small memory version. There is also the 3.3v...

    Converting AC to DC motor

Well, I was going by what the Op posted originally.

    Code light to pulse

Code is in the examples " blink without delay" and drive output via logic level mosfet.

    Converting AC to DC motor

Winch motor no good for a go kart. High torque comes from worm drive and motor is slow reving.

    Converting AC to DC motor

Power out = power in minus losses....relative here I'd say.

    A small timer required.

OK...then get a 1 hour unit similar to the one Harald referred to.

    Converting AC to DC motor

No again. Alternator produces (alternating) ac which is then rectified and regulated to charge the battery. A dynamo ( easy to google how the terminology works) is a dc generator which can, by modification become a dc motor , albeit low power. A starter motor from the 70 to 80's era will be a...

    Converting AC to DC motor

No. Appears you have a split phase ac motor.(guessing either 220v or 110v) Your assumption that "most" dc motors run at 1750 rpm also incorrect. Best idea would be to get a motor that suits the application. So, what is the application?

    Amplifier project

In the 60's I copied a circuit and made my own stereo amp (valve) Elvis never sounded so good. Nowadays, Ebay , just like Bob, too easy and finished product way cheaper than just the cost of the chips.

    A small timer required.

Who knows. Without any circuit it is not possible to say really. I was just going on what you said ie a reset. In some instances if the unit timer was already running and received a reset, it would just stay on. In that case, 1 minute, 5 minute, 10 seconds, would be irrelevant.

    A small timer required.

Does the existing timer have to time out before re-triggering or can you re-trigger it (break then make again) at any time in the 4 hours , allowing another 4 hour session? If the latter, (as Harald has already pointed out) any simple astable 555 timer module off ebay with a relay output should...

Dcb101 DeWalt 20 volt battery charger

These units are not made to be "repaired". There are plenty of after market units around if you cannot afford genuine replacement.
