    Identifying diode

Could be mistaken but I think you will find that's more than likely a 400mw resistor.

    Motorola Transistor Replacement

Ah,ha......as I thought. Transistor with it's back to us (clutch driver) in the older pics is different type. Thought I'd spend an hour or 2 and see if I could trace the pcb into a readable schematic. Maybe Edd will comment further on any mistakes etc. Cheers ...Jorgo

    I believe I already covered that...

    Can anyone identify this component

If you look in the spec sheet, they show details of the toroid. The "dot" near each winding shows the way the windings relate to each other. This is important in the primary in this case as you will be using both windings in series for your 240v. So primary side, connect one incoming 240v line...

    Vizio s3851w-d4 power supply schematics

As others have said, forget the transformer. Continuity test will not prove anything as the windings are generally only a few turns of fine wire.(maybe 30swg) Not a common thing to burn out windings. Even if it was, it would be quite obvious physically. Perhaps do some research into switch mode...

    Can anyone identify this component

By the look of it in the photo, probably combination of rust, corrosion, bit of moisture blowing the primary open....?

    AC motor speed control

Couple of vee belt pulleys for "gearing down" and a variable speed drill from the local hardware store. A " cricket bowling machine" load details elude me at present, sorry.

    AC motor speed control

Nope. Speed is frequency dependent and number of poles dependent, split phase motor.

I'd say off hand that the brain cells it might affect are already dead.

    Can anyone identify this component

    you need 2 x 24v outputs.....the transformer is basically a 48v output split into 2 via a centre-tap. Hence 24-0-24 Still it depends on what it drives in your welder. So, 24v + 24v ( 2 windings) * 1.25A = 60VA.or as some places say (w) When I showed the transformer from Ebay, 30w (30va) it was...

dual 24v 30w on Ebay...maybe parallel 2 if you need more current. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Power-Transformers-3-5-9-10-30-50-W-Dual-Output-AC-9V-12V-15V-18V-24V-220V-50Hz/222357056176?hash=item33c5836ab0:m:mbZKABbkuQ7K34hXt7fG2LA Edit...just checked on both RSComponents and Farnell...

    Pulse Width Modulation

Yes, but I was referring to add-on devices. Earth will be for the park switch, not the motor wiring directly. Although there are many ways to achieve the 2 speed arrangement in original equipment, I have chased up a 2 brush motor diagram to save drawing out again. Yours may or may not be the...
