so you guys are all headed for the 'solid state dead end"? solid state is supposed to plug into ISA... It was designed to add components or change small errors in circuits designed and created by computers.... before they made computers that were perfect. Then all at once... somebody had a brain...

did you try holding the eject button down while powering it up? turn it off. let it set for a minute. hold the eject button down.... power it up.

    SCR latching trouble

Ahem... suppose you build another circuit called a "latching circuit" and connect it so the beam interuption fires the latch trigger? I think thats how to do it... Moderator note: it is best to ignore tedstruck. He seems to live in an alternate reality. If you don't understand something he...

Need to know if this freq Gen will give me a 2100Hz signal over a 25MHz carrier

The way I am decifering your note... You want to generate a 2100hz freq signal, with a 25mhz carrier wave? It looks like your generator only generates 6mhz... you could build a doubler to get 12mhz then double that to 24 and then put a coil booster on it... but it could be dangerous.... AND you...

I posted a pic of the board and I wanted your opinion on these 608 OCE transistors... could the OCE stand for O=common C=Collector E=Emitter, the 608 may have been a size and style being plastic flat on one side... Is there a way to test these to see which is the emitter and which is the collector?

I want you to know how much I appreciate this help. I am kind of stuck with this old thing. I can't find any of the datasheets, It wasn't the type I thought it was when I got it, and I can't find any wiring diagrams or schematics for the board. I am finally learning alot of electronics!

The Words > 608 OCE are printed on the round backside, of a little plastic, three pin component, that is flat on the front side. I think this is the proper identification of a transistor thing. Maybe they are some of those bogus components made in the 80's?

Trying To Determine Potentiometer Needed For Grizzly G8691 Lathe

It looks to me like there is a High speed and Low speed and thats all. No adjustment for RPM, just high and low.... a standard switch is involved with no rheostat or potentiometer... the POT may have been added later in an attempt to fix a broken switch???. Moderator note: tedstruck should not...

What does OCE on a transistor mean? I can't find a 608 OCE transistor on any datasheets anywhere.

I am thinking about the signal flow in my circuits... is it better to use the collectors on the transistors for the input signal ---- and the emitters on the transistors for output signal? or is it arbitrary and the flow of the shema has little to do with proper flow of the signal?

Restoring a Regal Do-Wa-Diddy by fOXX

I am thinking about the old style SMD push on/off DPST that once originally installed there... IT grounded to the case... It may have had grounding pegs... I am fairly sure this is the original pot that was installed, it measures at 22k typical for a 100k taper. Yes it does turn clockwise...

    Restoring a FOXX FUZZ-WAH

OK... to me my questions are clear, the info I am submitting is exceptional and most of the problems I am having are connected to the same things... When I found this treadle pedal the time, and tried to fix it... posted it on this board, and never got it finished because the thread...
