    All the power supplies I have read(every one of them) have been delivering a different value than what they have written on them. I even bought a multi-volt Radio Shack unit that was a click off(that is-- the 1,5v setting was sendind 3, the 9v was sending 13v and the 12v was sending 15v... sure...

    you need down converters with relays between them. Frankly they say its alot of money and work to go to, when a seperate converter is available for lower volts. easier to install a second converter.

    No data available anywhere.... They don't make them anymore. There are few old ones around. The hack shops want about 300 a piece for their version of them.     listen where the buzz is coming from. Replace whatever is buzzing. What you need to know is that if the fuse blew, it did its job, and that usually means everything is ok. Maybe, the unit buzzed when it was new.

    thats a 42 pin SMD and it looks like a prom when I look at that data sheet. you need it reprogrammed or you should consider replacing the entire unit.

    Can the 2v calibration port be used as a test for circuits?... If I was testing a 12v circuit and needed to power it for testing, could I use jumpers from the 2v squarewave to ground and one to the 12v + input to get the signals on a channel with a second probe on the scope? Or is is best to...

    looks like some kind of plastic thingy with two rings and an adjuster as to which ring gets the most signal. I would call it a freq shunt, or a signal rectifier. Hows my guessing?
