    whine and snap high pitched squeal... getting higher as it speeds up, then an extremely sharp pop, that sounds more like a snap than a pop, like a power cap snapping except a bit louder I think(I heard this in electronics class) I will need a new fuse.

    whine and pop it starts out with a shine that grows and then snaps....out go the lights. I opened the case, it needs a fuse, and the board with the fuse on it appears to be really cooked...

    I took beginning electronics in High school for about a week then they closed the class because circuit boards vanished and were replaced by ICs. Nowdays you only design the circuit, not the motherboard and schematics. sorry guys... can't help much! heh heh ha ha ha ahha ahhahhhha ROLTFLMAO!

    powher sirkut is die ing Only one way to fix it. You must replace both the power caps, and the voltage option switch. but look at the image.. the board is fused, change the fuses, and don't tell anyone I told you.;)

    I also have another camera, an old Magnavox TV camera, that makes a whine that sharpens before shutting off in an audible snap, that I think needs a power cap changed in the viewfinder? Maybe someone can lead me through this procedure? heh heh!!!

    I have camera with an input for a 200ohm stereo microphone. I tried to split the signal with an RCA jack adapter, but the line input signal buzzed pretty erratic! I wondered if there was a way to build a converter, or adapter, that I could connect my stereo mixer line out into the camera...
