117L7 tube test

First off, sorry if this is the wrong forum. I built a small one tube transmitter (Lil'7) and everything was perfect, except it didn't work. After double checking everything three times I tested the new 117L7 tube (from AES) and found one plate (pin 3 output) measured about 650 (good) and the other (pin 6 rectifier) was 200 (replace) Is this enough to keep this thing from making even the slightest bit of noise?

It's many years since I messed around with tubes, and I have never made any transmitters using tubes. I have serviced some Hagstrom and Marshall amps and I once built an FM stereo receiver-amplifier in the early seventies. Where on the tubetester-scale is

Got the new tube, it works.......well a little. 30' is about max. What a disappointment.

I am sorry to hear this Mike. What range is it suppose to have, a lot more than 30 feet I guess? Can you post the schematic then maybe someone can assist you. Have you run the new tube in the tester? It is possible that they have made a series of bad tubes.
