24V DC motor on AC 220v

Hey Guys,How ya doing? Am new here would like to request some ideals on my project.
How to run a 24V DC miniature motor on a AC 220V source with out a transformer? coz the space is limited on my design.

Im not an expert but I would first use 1 leg of the 220v ac resulting in 110V ac, then a full wave bridge rectifier, filter capacitor, then a voltage regulator. If the motor load is constant you could probably get by with a suitable resistor in place of the reg. The res value would depend on the motor load. But thats just me.....
