74LS193 and CD74HCT193E

i wish to ask what is the difference between 74LS193 and CD74HCT193E - do i get the same result if one is not available in my local shoop. I think they are the same but different name due to diferent manufactur. Am i wrong ???PLZ advice ... 10ks

The 74LS uses bipolar transistors. The 74HCT uses Mosfet transistors. Their families are completely different. You could look over their datasheets, or just try using the wrong IC.

You can't get the transmitter's ICs, you can't get its zener diodes. Therefore I suggest buying the kit if it is still available.

Look at the Datasheets and see if any of the conditions or Voltages are different than your paremiters.
Compare the data and see.
