I got the DMM VIEW software free with my Mastech MAS-345 multimeter today but it just refuses to install. I run WinXP by the way.

I've tried downloading the software too, but that copy doesn't install either.

TIA

Tom.

Hi Staigen,

Yes it says so on the CD. In fact, it reckons to be compatible with 98/ME/NT/2000 and XP.

Trouble is, there's no mention of the software on Mastech's website and I have no idea who wrote the software, so there's no chance of approaching the authors either.

This is V2 by the way. Downloadable here.... http://www.elexp.com/download/mastech.zip

FOUND OUT WHAT IT WAS.....

Inserted the XP CD and did the following......

RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue:
1. Insert the CD into the CD drive or DVD drive.
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
3. In the Open box, type cmd, and then click OK.
4. At the command prompt, type the following commands, pressing ENTER after each command:

expand D:\i386\config.nt_ c:\windows\system32\config.nt
expand D:\i386\autoexec.nt_ c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt
expand D:\i386\command.co_ c:\windows\system32\command.com
exit
5. Start or install the program.

BINGO!! Works fine.
