Camera Capacitor Circuit

HI, I recently built a capacitor bank charger using parts from a camera flash circuit. I blew the little power transistor. So, could I replace it with any NPN Power Transistor. Thanks

It's not critical, most transistors should work, try the BC338 or BC548.
