Clarifications......
Nope, these details were already clear.
I'm the idiot that offered to build a prototype.....
And I commented on that.
I state for the record that I can build a working prototype
peltier based room AC unit for about $2,000 (Depends
on timing and prices of components at time of build)....
At no point did I ever say it was a viable alternative
to standard AC units in a marketing since....
No one ever said you did, and I in fact made a comment about scammers,
which is what that 'prototype' would have been, a scam, because a room
AC based on peltiers is never gunna be viable on running cost alone.
It isnt even viable for say a car either.
I will even offer to build a perpetual motion ( over unity)
device to anyone's specifications for a price....
Thats the way scammers operate...
I will not assure anyone that it will work as they B'leave it will....
Ain't capitalism grand !
There's always been the scam end of capitalism.
Thats what snake oil was always about too.
"It is really quite amazing by what margins competent but conservative
scientists and engineers can miss the mark, when they start with the
preconceived idea that what they are investigating is impossible.
When this happens, the most well-informed men become blinded by their
prejudices and are unable to see what lies directly ahead of them."
- Arthur C. Clarke, 1963
Indeed. Plenty of examples of that.
And plenty of proclamations about stuff being impossible which
ends up with lots of egg on the face of the proclaimer too.
